Babycenter pregnancy weight tracker1/14/2024 My first time weight came off in a month or so because I got hyperthyroidism and was mega-stressed with a newborn, so I rapidly lost the weight. With my first pregnancy, I gained about 40 pounds, but was 20 pounds lighter than I am now, so I hope to max out at around 15-20 pounds this time. I had started less than 2 months ago and paid for 6 months and can't get anything back or use it later, unfortunately. That can't be bad, I figure! I still may really end up only eating a bit over my point alotment each day anyway, because I am not indulging in junk food. I've pretty much gone off it-meaning, I am not sticking to the 'points' necessarily, but am eating smaller portions for meals and snacking on frutis and veggies (which were 0 points on WW). Then you can hop right back into WW, and I know that they have point values to compensate for breastfeeding should you choose to do so. Healthy eating combined with safe physical activity should be your goal until the little bub is here. ![]() The WW plan does not account for pregnancy in the point system and many high calcium foods are also "high point value." (Think cheese and other dairy) For your sake and the baby's, please don't continue to push for weight loss. Health Canada recommends a weight gain of 11-20 lbs for women who are obese prior to pregnancy, a gain of 15-20 lbs for women who are overweight prior to pregnancy, 25-35 lbs for women who are normal weight prior to pregnancy and 28-40 lbs for women who are underweight prior to pregnancy. Certainly a healthy diet with lots of whole grains, fruits and veggies and sources of calcium and lean protein is your best bet. My understanding is that weight loss plans during pregnancy is not recommended as you and the baby may end up with nutritional deficiencies.
